I swear, Endelmeier Manor is cursed, or something. I have never worked on anything that has been this struck be misfortune, unpleasant coincidence, and malicious malingering (possibly). A couple of weeks ago, when I first began work on my submission for ZRoyale, i was pretty excited about it. I had never made a comic before, despite wanting to for almost a year, and it was nice to have that kind of motivation (i.e. people who would yell at me if i didn't do it.). However, that all changed that afternoon, when, having completed the drafts of several pages, i proceeded to accidentally delete them. You see, i had all the pages open at once, and i hadn't saved any of them. I also had a couple of random experiments open that i did not intend to save. All called Untitled - #. So, at 3:00 AM, when i decided i was too tired to stand up any more, i closed photoshop. The program of course asked me if i wanted to save any of the things i had open, but i clicked 'no' again and again because i was waiting for the ones that had a title... When i realised what i had done i nearly fell out of my chair.
(and it was so much worse because i had no one but myself to blame!)

A couple of days later. Nearly finished re-doing page 1. Photoshop crashes. First time i have EVER seen a program on Vista lock up completely.

Nearly a week after that. Having been pretty discouraged by my previous jaunts, it's taken me a while to get back the motivation to do anything. However, I finally get my act together and start drawing. I save it at every turn, and, lo and behold, i get two pages saved. Scarcely believing my eyes, i closed them (the files, not my eyes) and re-opened them to make sure they saved correctly, but everything seems to be fine. Of course, that was tuesday. Wednesday afternoon was a completely different story. Upon opening the files I discovered that they have, for want of a better way of describing it, melted. The layers have all been merged into a single layer, and all of the images have blended and smudged into one another. To this day, I still have no idea what happened.

Now, that was last week. So, with the ZRoyale due date creeping up, and end of semester assignments popping up all over the place, i was beggining to get a little... Uneasy? So, of course, two days ago, on the weekend, my first available free time that week, i tried, once again, to get some ZRoyale done. It crashes. Again.

I'm so sorry about this Wings, Farsight. But it looks like my submission's going to be a little late. I'll get it done as soon as possible, (assuming the Vista gremlins let me) but i'm really not sure how long it's going to take me.



On a lighter note, my house is haunted too! Last night, as i was about to go to bed, i heard the shutdown chimes from windows x-p (no, smileys, NO!) echoing out from the computer room. But the power was off at the wall, and had been for almost an hour. There are two laptops in there, but one of them runs on Vista, and I know for sure that the other one was shut down already... Spooky!
